Contemporary Art Gallery
Established in December 1992, the gallery offers a diverse range of quality two and three dimensional work by leading makers based in the UK and some also from the continent.
Over 60 makers are represented at any one time: ceramics, wood, prints and etchings, jewellery, metalwork, textiles, glass, furniture and photography are all exhibited, and a commisssioning service is also available.
The gallery has been selected to offer the Arts Council's "OwnArt" interest free art purchasing scheme. Details of the scheme and its benefits can be obtained from the gallery. A welcoming and comfortable environment, the gallery hosts a minimum of two shows annually.

The Rye Art Gallery Trust was founded in 1957 by artist Mary Stormont (1871 - 1962), who eloped to Rye with fellow artist Howard Stormont (1859 - 1935) in 1898. They married in St Mary's Church, Rye, and lived in Ypres Studio, Ockman Lane.
Howard's abilities lay in landscape painting and portraiture, while Mary painted landscapes and interiors, and was especially sought after for her flower paintings. They exhibited all their lives, showing regularly at the Royal Academy of Arts, and at art societies and galleries in London and the South East.
After Howard's death, Mary continued to live at Ypres Studio, with its inspiring views across the marshes to the sea.
At her death, Mary left the Studio to the Trust, and it was named the Stormont Studio in their memory.
The original bequest, of some 100 works, forms the core of what is now, with additions from bequests, donations and purchases (with funds from the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Contemporary Art Society and Friends of Rye Art Gallery) the Rye Art Gallery Collection of over 460 works

Stark
Stark Gallery represents a wide variety of original artwork and British craft. Changing exhibits in the three gallery spaces offer a changing selection of styles and mediums, from modern abstracts to traditional landscapes in oils, acrylics, textiles, photography, sculpture and more. The gallery and shop also has range of original British crafts, many from local makers. Regular yoga and pilates classes are held in the upper gallery in London; poetry evenings, creative writing classes and children's art classes are also held in the London gallery.

Amanda Zoe gained BA(hons) in Metal and Ceramics from the University of Brighton. Inspired by the patterns, textures and colours of the local sea and landscapes and the minutiae found there, she uses the techniques of enamelling, etching and repousse to produce silver and enamel jewellery.
